Inertia – indian festivities

Oh creator of mankind, how we continue doing what we are doing!!!

Sir Newton decoded and found Newton’s first law as answer to this.

But is it easy to get the rut out, a big No.

Celebrate Indian festivals wherever you are, whatever state you are, you get the best of you out.

Thus we stay in the same state of happiness until and unless acted upon by any other external force. But, Indian festivals never end and thus the happiness.

Hence, the first stroke to inertia matters. Forget everything, just plunge yourself in festivities, you are up.

Happy Diwali, this time.

A Common Man’s Tales

Seriously, exactly, sincerely, predominantly, genuinely we all human beings on earth are part of this tale.

From the time we wake up, we are entitled to think what to do. Anything which we do leads to consequences.  Some immediate some intermittent and some before the end of the journey!

Whatever and whenever results come, we have to accept it. Thus our lesson starts with consequence of each activity of us.

In today’s world, when common Man lives his normal common life, meat in his plate along with him are butchered same way as the animal he loved to consume. Quite ironic., because action is answered by another human being.

Dictats on food, air and water, basic essentials of each individual, leaves him with no choice than living a pseudo life. Truth prevails, so does the human in him. His taste buds are adjusted to food he eats and life becomes less satisfying to him.

Artificial food which tastes exactly like the food he eats could make the thing look straight.

A common man dosen’t have her/his choice of existence in this free country. Just like the cost of petrol, pulses, vegetables and inflation in total are governed by governing bodies, A common man’s tale is also scissored by similar entities.

These entities, who are also human beings, thus need to face the consequences of their action today or tomorrow or before end of their journey.

Rest in peace, departed souls.

Appreciate like Gui Mam

Each one of us loves to be appreciated. But, often,  we forgetfully or deliberately avoids doing so.

Long long years back, there was a teacher named Gui. She was a Major’s wife and was working at army school. This wing of school handled only kindergarten students. When you enter the school, it was variety of beautiful flowers which steal your attention. One corner was meant for play area where you can see merry-go-round, see-saw, slides, horse and maze too. Classrooms were designed in such a way that, when we look outside, we see the garden.

Well, Gui Mam connected with each kid uniquely. Yes, each kid is unique. “So is each employee”. Academic sessions were learning through fun. Most of the times its playing along with flowers or at play area. Meantime, teacher understand the psyche of each kid. Pencils, eraser and sharpener became inseparable friends to us. The warmth in which we were trained still remains with us.

Now, report card time. That is performance rating time. Mam, with keen observation had set the categories kid based. Hence, all were having extra ordinary skills as per her evaluation. I remember one cartoon where-in elephant, fish, monkey all are evaluated based on same guideline. This joke was for the current day evaluation. Each employee has unique skills, which fits appropriately if they are appreciated as extra ordinary. Appreciation builds up a person and the tasks she/he does becomes exemplary.

Hence, dear all, let us appreciate like Gui Mam. I cherish each moment I spent with my dearest Mam. Saluting for those extra ordinary review.

Sunshine on the mountains

We shine when we stand up for the values we believe in. For example ethics.

A mom has a ethics of not hurting her child by any means and thus one keep shining as a mother. The child taken care would take the lead and would be a protegy.

Same with doctors, a doctor has ethics of curing the patient in all possible means and lo, the queue for right treatment comes to her/him. And thus sunshines there too.

and what about Engineers? Do they follow ethics? Questionable!

Sun can hardly shine, if we see the mishaps happening every now and then. To save ones skin and to be prosperous, make the others suffer! OR Is it the stars which makes sun having less glee?

If the students are given marks in the rightful ways, stars would definitely Shine, if we do not close our eyes seeing nefarious means of scoring marks (copying is an example, leaking question papers too is unethical)., thus we can assure a truthful generation in making.

Saluting all those Engineers who abide by ethics and shows sunshine in the mountains with full glee, which is most amazing thing.

Have you experienced that? Try being ethical.

The Art of Living

It’s been years, my parents are living on their own. This is not because we all do not care or wish them to be with us. For them, a life by themselves is the one where they can stay without too much stress on their nerves, health and be at their birth place. In order to get rid of their loneliness, sometimes, they had taken shelter in human gods and self styled gurus. Though I prefer to stay many steps away from these gods, there are few features which I found worth discussing.

  1. Human gods involve around people. Hence there is a get together of people for sure.
  2. People are brought to same platform, whichever walks of life they may be.
  3. Though it’s always gullible people who fall prey to them, some kind of discipline come in their devotees. All sitting and making flower chains is one example. Focus on an activity comes.
  4. Being in nuclear families, there is very less communication each has with family members on daily basis and thus the potlucks planned serve a purpose on food pe charcha among devotees.
  5. Combined family concept hardly works now. Hence, there is no listening ears, other than fellow devotees.
  6. A fun trip is difficult to plan too often for them, these get togethers are exactly like merry making, laughing, smiling and yes, living and what else one wants at any stage of their life.

Combined Study

It is a very funny episode to remember during btech study holidays. Me, Sujatha and Srividya were part of hindi speaking team.  Being good friends, Sujatha said let us study tomorrows Geotechnical Engineering together. Now, this is one of the tricky subject, where-in numericals are there in equal proportion to theory. That means you should have some time meant for numericals, some for ‘ruttafication’,yes theory. And still more time for question paper solving.

To decide about combined study at vee hour was the first catch miss. So we may rush up without proper hold on any topic.

For Sujatha, word given was more important and for me to complete all these tasks in nearly 4 hours looked bleak if we go ahead with combined study. We fought and it was fultu tearful day for Sujatha, I am sorry for that as for me all letters turn Greek and Latin after 9. And for her study starts at 9.

Hence, what I understood is, combined study team should be planned much in advance and a charter plan should be in place. Like, the order of numericals, ‘ruttafication’ hours and question paper solving hour. Moreover, early birds and night birds should be in two different groups.

Dedicating to my sweetest friend Sujatha.

Debt

We all made the best group, as we all knew each other pretty well, being like minded. From the time we merged at base branch Mumbai, life started and thus the lessons too.

Life in all its intricacies were offered to us by  Mumbai. No wonder people say ‘ I learnt a lot’. Same we ‘frndz’ would be saying inside with any new episodes which happen currently. We are totally indebted to each other and Mumbai.

Could see the class divide, caste divide, owner- tenant divide, name the divides,  everyone has to face it in our financial capital. Thus comes unity in diversity in true sense!! Hence, Mumbai is India, in capsule form.

Well, we all became true Indians (no doubt, we earlier too) and now we all are bowing to each other for life experiences and saluting Mumbai for moulding us.

Jai hind.

Hectic Life

Is it mismanagement of resources which makes my days hectic or is it a machine error which stop the ball rolling?

Either you disregard the error and proceed or apply some oil and move smoothly. If you disregard, breakdown is certain.

Better way is, stop, look around, see others – better to see normal beings not machines. Then get some hints of peaceful existence and accelerate again without error.

Spread Joy – let your friendship blossom

When somebody asks, is there a good news, answer should be gleaming yes if one is pregnant. After all, you can’t hide things like this for long, provided you are not on phone relationship (you can hide things in telephonic conversations). Many of my friends believe in omens. If it’s the first baby, then to let everyone know, yes I can get pregnant, all are informed. But, if its the case of second child, all is hidden. Why? You do not consider it as good news anymore or its the omen playing tricks or risk in pregnancy which was there first time too!

We humans are a race who detrust the thoughts of anyone or everyone. But its our own thought which limits us. Can a thought of fellow friend has power to change the gender of your baby? I don’t know and you neither and its not possible as far as medicos at present are concerned.

So spread joy, share the good news even if its the second child and let your friendship blossom.

Nature binds us

Daily one or two parrots or a myna or a crow sits on top of the tree adjacent to our home. Like drawing a lot, if I see a parrot I presume today’s day is going be beautiful. If it is a myna, gone! Single handedly I have to do all tasks coming my way. Well, this is true even if it were a parrot. Somehow, parrot is green, thus blends with nature.

Some moody days, tada, got to see crow. Uff, the day is going to be tough. The thought itself brings you down and put pressure on the nerves. Well, eyes and thoughts are related. What is good for eyes is good for mind too!!
