One day, there was a show in which workers at labour homes at gulf were given a feast. If we are sponsored a feast, normally we all are elated, dress up for the occasion and enjoy the feast.
Here, with these labours, there wasn’t any emotion as such. Cruel reality of unending labour was seen in their being. A cold response, forcefull answering and not even appreciating tasty food shows mere existence and not living.
Whatever may be the work, dignity of labour should be there. Labour laws are to be made addressing the basic requirement to be provided at the labour camps. If the camps meet those requirements, then only labours can be provided to that camp.
Could it be not possible for government to provide them home away from home??
